Seasonal Wrap Ups

Spring Reading Wrap Up

Yes! I’m back! Finally! Right?? I have been on the longest hiatus but I’m back! A mixture of illness, anxiety and so busy I wasn’t keeping up with my own feet, kept me away! Its been a whirlwind few months, some good reading months but June was definitely not.

(Books not pictured in the reading list are digital copies)

This is looking like the year of the graphic novel! Netgalley is a treasure trove of new releases and older, yet still available graphic novels/comic books, and ya know I had to get on that train.

My “Spring” reading habits below;

Books read: 11, 8 physical, 3 ebooks

Audiobooks: 3

Arcs: 2

Pre-Orders: 3 bought, 2 Read

April Reading List

Dream Daddy A Dad Dating Comic Book by Leighton Gray; Vernon Shaw ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (Netgalley, Graphic Novel) Review here.

Sky Without Stars by Jessica Brody & Joanne Rendell ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

City Of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (borrowed)

Aristotle & Dante Discover The Secrets Of The Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Dance Of Thieves by Mary E Pearson ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Favourite of April: This is a tough call! Dream Daddy was the best fun, and City Of Ghosts was lovely to read whilst in Edinburgh. Dance Of Thieves took me wholly by surprise I was not expecting to love it! But the favourite is Aristotle & Dante Discover The Secrets Of The Universe, the most hyped book for me in this reading list and it was absolute perfection. Just beautiful from the first page to the last.

June Reading List

Stage Dreams by Melanie Gillman ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (Netgalley)

Lick It Man by Camille Carida ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (e-comic)

The Echo Man by Richard Montenari ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Favourite of June: Stage Dreams was absolute gold! I watched Chandler Ainsley on YouTube with her ‘I Read 5 F/F Romances‘ and they highly recommended Stage Dreams on NetGalley! I loved it, it was beautifully written, artwork was soft and fun. A quick quaint read.

Audiobooks

I don’t count audiobooks to my actual “read” list as a personal preference, however that doesn’t stop me listening to them!

(Scribd) Interview With A Vampire by Anne Rice Narrator F. Murray Abraham ⭐️

(Audible) Harry Potter & The Philosopher’s Stone by J. K. Rowling Narrator Stephen Fry ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

(Audible) Harry Potter & The Chamber Of Secrets by J. K. Rowling Narrator Stephen Fry ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have already finished Harry Potter & The Prisoner Of Azkaban and have moved on to Harry Potter & The Goblet Of Fire on Audible, I am also listening to The Hunger Games on Scribd!

Books acquired in Spring

The book ban this year has been shamefully bad! But it means I can fill in this section with some pretties! I also don’t remember when these books were obtained, but I’m guessing they were in Spring as they are not listed in my winter wrap up! (Ravenclaw logic at its worst) SMH.

Viper by Bex Hogan (Fairyloot)

Ready Player One by Ernest Cline (2nd hand)

Consider Phlebas Iain M. Banks (Gift)

Saint Death by Marcus Sedgewick (2nd hand)

To Best The Boys by Mary Weber (Fairyloot)

And that’s all for now, sincerest apologies for my absence. I am hoping to be back up and running on a schedule soon.
